“Forgive, Why?” Blog #246
Is it okay to stay angry when someone has hurt me?
Do I choose my lower self or higher self to get through hurt?
How do I discern IF I am the one to set things straight?
Forgiveness is actually LOVE at its very highest form.. People who hold grudges feel they
“have a right to their own feelings, right? Yet, there are lessons abounding in each
scenario that involves holding anger deep inside. First of all, anger continues to fester.
Anger does not just go away. Anger does not just disappear. Anger grows and somehow
takes a stronghold on MY persons “feelings toward another”. Someone reading this may
silently say, “she has no idea of what she is talking about! She doesn’t know what I went
through. She could not handle what happened to me. A lot of what I just heard may hold
merit. Yet, at the end of the day, “What IF each of these encounters were for our separate
internal growth? What IF lessons are needed to be learned to SEE from a “higher
perspective, what am I learning from this?” I would like to say this about anger, grudges
and darkness inside. Not forgiving another person, ONLY hold me back. When I was
holding on to such hatred, anger festered inside of me. There was no where for all this
darkness to go - except to grow in ME! This anger took a strong-hold on every part of how
I looked at my life. I STAYED STUCK.
Then I finally found faith in Jesus when I asked for help. My inner strength gave me new
tools to handle my grief, despair and no need to live this way any longer. If there is a
family member who my anger lies with, I ask to be open to discussion and resolve. If the
family member remains closed to truth, I pray for them and move ON. When a family
member is no longer living, forgiveness conversations cannot be held. There will always be
people who we struggle with in accepting their “way of living”. Deep daily judgmental
drama brings dis-ease. This does not allow me to grow. When I do not grow internally, I
remain stagnant. When I decide to wear my “higher self” hat daily and live in truth, I am
growing leaps and bounds. My life is filled with love, goodness and truth. My best daily
recipe with forgiveness in it, reminds me “other people are on the journey they have
chosen”. It is important for me to seek healthy friendships, healthy relationships.
Must I continue to remind myself? After countless beatings, torture and cruelty cast upon
him, Jesus hung on a cross saying, “Father Forgive them, for they know not what they
do”. I believe I am being tested in so many ways, DAILY, by lessons I am being given. Each
lesson, when learned, brings more truth to my awareness.
Yet, only IF I allow it.
Can I ask for spiritual strength of steel to find forgiveness today?
