“Am I Brave?” Blog #242

Waking up this morning, am I ready for my Higher Self?

Do I give in to the secular wants of my lower self desires now?

Can I be brave and find the “real me” in why I am alive today?

What does it mean to have a firm understanding of “all that I can be”? It’s imperative I

know how strong I am able to be. How much good am I capable of doing in my lifetime?

Maybe I’ve been content satisfying my earthly desires day in and out.

There is a man still alive today who decided to spend 34 years of his life doing all he could

do to help other people. Just recently this man was awarded the Medal of Honor. Why?

Because he flew 2500 combat missions into Vietnam and rescued 5000 men, women and

children. What is so unique about this man, is the fact he developed unbelievable “bad-

weather and technical techniques” for air ambulance rescues that had never before been

thought of or tried to do. This man is listed as the only man in the Encyclopedia Britannica

to hold both the Congressional Medal of Honor Award and the Distinguished Service Cross,

as well as the top helicopter pilot. An amazing man who rescued people wounded and in

enemy held territory with no thought for his own safety. To reach the wounded, his

ambulatory helicopter had to go through heavy fog sludge, and smoke, along a narrow

dirt valley path. Then he flew into enemy territory where other aircraft had just previously

been shot down. This one man showed extraordinary courage. He stated, “God was my

co-pilot for over 2500 missions”. I rescued the enemy as well as friendly. Yet, always I

will remember, my faith is what has grounded me.‍. God did me a favor by allowing me

to be born. I cannot emphasize the roll my faith has played in my life. The good Lord

has blessed my life by giving me the great privilege to save lives. I make a habit of

bringing the Dear Lord with me wherever I go”. Brady said, “I had two visions where the

good lord showed me rescue techniques that no one has ever heard of. I had to turn my

helicopter sideways to blow away the fog with the back wash from my rotor blades.”

Than, despite the close range enemy fire, he still found a dangerously small site to land his

ambulatory helicopter on, and rescued the badly wounded. General Patrick Brady is the

only living veteran with all these honors. Yet even in his later years now, he relates, “Most of

all, “I am beholdin’ to my dear Lord who has given me life, so that I may serve.”

What a remarkable man. What a miraculous story. What a perfect day to humble myself

and admit my life is not just about me, but what can I do for others? What can I give back

to help those in need? Letting go of my lower self, and climb up, up further then I have

ever allowed myself to go internally. Knowing HE is with me always. I go up into my Higher

Self awareness. Here is where I truly see all I am capable of thinking and doing and being

right now.

Can I leave lower self desires, bravely see the light pushing me upward now?
