Do I fill my mind with negative thinking most of the day?
Am I overwhelmed with all the things I do today?
Who can come into my life and help me now?
The other day I watched a video of an amazing healing moment. Watching a video of a
young man attempting to steal a purse from a pretty, younger woman at a bus stop.
However, things all turned out quite differently. This young man WAS successful in fulfilling
his dark plan of pursuit. Then for whatever reason, he turned around halfway down the
block and saw she was now looking for her purse. This young woman was now “holding a
stick in front of her”. He instantly realized he had just stolen a purse from a blind woman.
He could have just kept on running away, yet he did not. He stood staring and saw what
now was becoming a pitiful sight. She was using her stick in a very anxious way and
making the circle larger and faster as she gripped her stick trying in vain to locate her
purse. The young man suddenly did what moments ago would have been unthinkable.
He quickly ran back and put the purse back in front of her stick. The young woman picked
it up, clutched it to her chest and started off walking with her stick guiding her. The young
man followed the blind girl. As she walked carefully, he noticed up ahead there was a
garbage can directly in her path, he moved it. Then the girl came to a busy cross street -
he went ahead a stopped traffic as she navigated her way across. The young man
followed her all the way to her home where he saw she entered safely. Then he turned
around and disappeared from the area. This little vignette could have turned out badly
but instead he did a good deed.
EVERY SINGLE THING THAT HAPPENS DAILY IS A LIFE LESSON IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.
When my phone rights today do I build someone up who is calling me? Do I start to gossip
about someone we both know? Do I start my day with a Prayer of Protection, surrounding
myself in the Light of God now? The tireless, tenderhearted teacher is waiting., HE is waiting
for me to say this,
“Can I get your help now Jesus? Thank you for helping me now.”
