Is there real truth behind my own belief system?
Do I try hard to find ways to sabotage my thinking?
How can I start today and avoid feeling broken?
An interesting fact is that non-believers may think we evolve from monkeys. Yet, these
same people have become doctors, scientists and inventors and many have now
ironically come full circle. They categorically believe “the universe was brought into
existence by an infinite intelligence…..believing that life and reproduction originate from a
Divine Source”. Here was the world’s most famous philosopher atheist for 50 years,
Antoney Flew, who shocked the academic world by affirming his belief in God. Then we
have Francis Crick who explained how DNA and the complexity of life changed him
completely. Here was the DNA discoverer saying, “Life appears at the moment, to be a
miracle”. So many more, and famously there is Albert Einstein, atheist turned believer who
states, “The more I study science, the more I believe in God. God is behind all order.”
There is a perilous empty, dark journey for people living in a home without faith. Especially
parents raising children who blow up a big bright balloon to show them all the aspects of
living. Then the child asks, “What is death”? And the big, bright beautiful balloon pops.
There is nothing to say.
Ironically, children were asked on “Kids say the Darndest Things: CNN”, “Who is God”? A
small child answered, “Dontcha know? God is in Everything!” Comforting words for a dying
child or an adult do not come from an unbeliever. Being broken inside is a lack of faith. A
lack of faith fuels fear. Hope fuels all broken hearts and faith moves mountains. Teen
suicide is the second leading cause of death in the country today. We cannot give a
teenager or any broken person a reason for not ending their life IF there is not Hope in
Jesus Christ to go on living. Broken people become spineless agnostics and arrogant
atheists in the anti-Christ movements. It’s convenient to argue against the Christian ideal,
yet no real research is behind it! Remember this:
“In God We Trust” is on every piece of money we handle. How convenient cash is
becoming no more. On the internet I recently learned there are five hundred million
broken non believers in the world and two and a half billion Christian believers.
Interestingly enough it takes a thousand million to make a billion. So we Christians have
them beat and we are in good company. Finally it is comforting to heal any broken heart
by reminding that person, “your Guardian Angel is by your side now”. I personally
believe I am not broken. When I leave this earth, the caterpillar of my empty shell of this
world will be immediately transformed in a monarch butterfly, up with the angels wrapped
in the brilliance of Christ’s light and sunshine. I attest to miracles. Knowing my brokenness
became belief. HE gives me comfort in one single plea for help.
Can I let go of my brokenness today and pray to believe?
